Sierra's Haven is going to begin doing some volunteer stories in the very near future and we thought it fitting to start off by extending a heartfelt THANK YOU to a few people who served on our Board of Directors and have recently resigned.  We would like to thank Debbie Castle, Pat Thurman and Kim Bauer.

Debbie Castle and her husband Dan both joined the Board of Directors 3 or 4 years ago and had volunteered many hours of their time at Sierra's Haven prior to that.  They worked tirelessly on our fundraisers, contacting local businesses for donations, decorating and running all over the countryside getting supplies.  Pat Thurman also joined the Board 3-4 years ago and not only helped with fundraisers, but assists Larry Lonney with video assessments of dogs for PetSmart Charities Rescue Waggin' program.  All dogs 6 months old or more have to have a video assessment and meet very strict criteria before being accepted by Rescue Waggin'.  Pat plans to continue to help us with fundraising when her schedule permits and plans to continue working with Larry on Rescue Waggin.  Kim Bauer served only a short time but, because of her work with the Chamber of Commerce and the many community events she has been involved with over the years, she gave us valuable advice and support.

Board members are also just volunteers who have very busy schedules and their efforts often go unappreciated.  We wish you all much success and thank you all very much for your service to Sierra's Haven.
